MASSENA — Tapeni J. LaBrake, 30, no fixed address, was arrested by Massena village police at 2:10 a.m. Saturday on a St. Lawrence County Court warrant alleging that he absconded from parole.

Police said he was found attempting to hide from them at 187 Center St. He was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and held without bail.

Amanda L. Savage, 25, of 190 Center St., Apt. 4, was charged with obstruction of governmental administration for allegedly attempting to hide Mr. LaBrake. She is scheduled to appear in Massena Village Court.

Mr. LaBrake was convicted of stabbing a woman during a home invasion in 2010.
