Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies charged Jeffrey A. Smith, 21, of 234 High St., with second-degree harassment following a domestic dispute Saturday night in the town of LeRay.

Deputies said Mr. Smith allegedly threw a dresser at Yolanda L. Williams, hitting her toe and causing it to bruise. The incident took place at 31363 County Route 30.

Arrested at 10 p.m., Mr. Smith was given a criminal summons for LeRay Town Court.
