An Onondaga County man was arrested Monday by Watertown police in connection with an auto theft that occurred in November 2011.

Jeffrey S. Young, 36, East Syracuse, was arrested by Central Square police on a Watertown warrant charging unauthorized use of a vehicle, and was turned over to Watertown police. He was released following arraignment Tuesday in City Court, and awaits prosecution.

Police said Andrew J. Hatalak of Watertown allowed Mr. Young to borrow his 1983 Ford Club Wagon on Nov. 11, 2011, understanding that the vehicle would be returned three days later. It was not returned, and Syracuse police found it abandoned Dec. 17, 2011, according to Watertown police.
