George H. Hall, 76 of 8 Highland Ave. Massena died unexpectedly after been stricken at home Tuesday afternoon (January 29, 2013). George was born in Massena, NY December 7, 1936 the son of William and Lois (Page) Hall. He graduated from Massena High School and served his country in the US Army from 1958 to 1964. Following his honorable discharge he started his work career at Hydes Plumbing in Massena. He later was employed at M.E. Avery Company for many years.
George then opened his own business known as George H. Hall Fire Extinguisher Sales and Service.He was currently working when he was stricken having delivered extinguishers that morning.
George is survived by his loving wife Una, a son Brian and wife Lori of Glenn Allen, VA., his grandchildren Peyton and Ian, sisters Doris Dufft of Horseheads, NY and Mary Harrison. He was predeceased by a daughter Linda April 11, 2003. George married Una M. Walker November 7, 1965 at St. Johns Episcopal Church, Massena. George was known for his sense of humor, enjoyed reading the paper front to back and playing Sudoku puzzles. Per Georges wishes there will be no services. Burial will be in Madrid Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
