Ocala, FL - Linden “Al” McBain, formerly from Massena, New York passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at home. Linden was born August 18, 1932 in Cornwall Ontario, the son of the late Eileen Martin and Duncan McBain. He served 5 years in the Canadian Navy. He was active in the harness racing industry and retired from GM in 1985.

Linden is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janette McBain. His two daughters, Coreen Yawn (Tim) and Doreen Rockwell (Tommy). Three stepchildren, Deborah Edwards (John) Danny Kirkey (Suzie) and David Kirkey. Six grandchildren, Brandon Hartigan, Clifford Craig, Jennifer Ward, Daniel Rockwell, Vincent Kirkey, Tonya Kirkey and 5 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Linden’s life will be held at their home from 2 to 5 Sunday, February 3. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Marion County, Florida.
