CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Eric J. Deshane, 19, of 733 state Route 37C, Massena, with second-degree criminal contempt at 8 p.m. Friday for violating stay away order of protection. Troopers said a troopers in the St. Lawrence Centre Mallwas alerted Deshane had repeatedly walked in the vicinity of the protected party and had not made an attempt to leave the mall. Deshane was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released under the supervision of the probation department. He is scheduled to reappear Feb. 27 in Massena Town Court.

Massena-based state police had charged Deshane with misdemeanor counts of second-degree attempted unlawful surveillance, second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into a Jan. 9 incident in the town of Lawrence. He was reportedly attempting to take a cell phone photo of a 15-year-old female through a bathroom window at a residence in the town of Lawrence.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Crystal J. Stovall, 19, of Bronx and Ahsinet M. Scott-Brown, 19, of Yonkers with petit larceny with petit larceny and false personation following an an alleged shoplifting incident reported at 5:47 p.m. Friday from the Potsdam Wal-Mart.

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Chase R. Baxter, 19, of Norfolk with endangering the welfare of a child as part of a criminal mischief investigation lodged in connection with an incident that was reported to troopers on Sept. 17. Troopers had charged Travis M. Chase, 22, of Norfolk with second-degree criminal mischief Thursday as part of that same investigation.

DWI - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Fritz M. Jamison, 47, of South Colton with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for failure to keep right following an investigation into an incident at 2:50 a.m. Saturday on state Route 56 in the town of Potsdam.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police responded to a numver of property damage accidents around the region Friday and early Saturday. Among those were:

■ Rebecca L. Dennis, 30, of Ogdensburg and Dale K. Scott, 52, of Chase Mills were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 4:51 a.m. Saturday on County Route 44, near Ruddy Road, in the town of Madrid.

■ Mandie J. Bouvia, 35, of St. Regis Falls at 7:15 a.m. Friday on Route 458, near Days Mills Road, in the town of Hopkinton.

PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police said one person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 9:51 a.m. Friday on County Route 42, near Foster Road, in the town of Fort Covington. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Katelyn M. Oldham-Benway, 19, of Fort Covington.
