MONTAGUE — An Ontario County man suffered minor injuries in a snowmobile crash at 11:37 p.m. Saturday on Pitcher Road in the town of Montague.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said John F. Ryan, 25, Seneca Castle, was driving a 2005 Polaris 900 Fusion snowmobile when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the left side of the road, hitting a tree.

He was ejected from the sled and complained of back pain but refused medical treatment.

Mr. Ryan was charged with imprudent speed and failure to keep right, answerable in Montague Town Court.
