MASSENA - The Massena Central wrestling team made quick work of Clifton-Fine on a night when senior middle weight Isaiah Perry reached an impressive personal milestone in the NAC regular season finale for both squads on Wednesday.

The Raiders claimed forfeit wins in eight of the 15 weight divisions en route to posting an 80-6 decision over the Eagles. They also scored four pins with Perry finishing off Andrew Hartmann in 1:06 at 145 pounds for the 150th victory of his varsity career at Massena.

“As far as we know that’s by far the most for any wrestler here,” noted coach Scott Perrine. “He’s been wrestling varsity since he was an eighth-grader so that works out to around 30 wins a year which is pretty impressive for any wrestler from our section.”

Perry will look to add to his record total this Saturday at the Section 10 Championship Meet which is slated to be staged at Canton Central’s Jerry Hourihan Gym starting at 10 a.m. The New York State Championships are slated for the weekend of February 22-24 at the Times Union Center in Albany.

Also notching pins for the Raiders in the convincing win over the Eagles were; Skyler Cameron over Dawson Kerr in 2:27 at 113 pounds, Joe Ferrera over Vincent Dowling in 4:17 at 182 pounds and Nolan Terrance over Anthony Dowling in 35 seconds at 285 pounds.

Hunter Perrine earned a tech fall in 2:54 over Lindsey Johnson at 160 pounds while he only bout to go the distance saw Dan Elman outscore Nathan Aldrich 7—2 for the Raider win at 152 pounds.

The only C-F (0-10) win of the evening came at 170 pounds where Carl Twyman pinned Alex Romeo in 3:45.

Gaining forfeit wins for Massena were; Brian Plourde (99), Michael Brown (106), Konnor German (120), Austin Amo (126), Landon Laughlin (132), Quinton Colter (138), Cameron Tarbell (195) and Jarrett Harvey (220).

The Raiders went 7-3 on the season and will look to contend for Division I honors in Canton on Saturday.
