WANAKENA Ronald M. Caton passed away the morning of February 9th in his home at 4 9th Street, Wanakena, NY.
He was born August 2nd, 1936 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. His parents were Jesse and Aurora Ronacati. He served in the US Air Force from 1954-1958. He married Yvonne Joy Harris on July 17th, 1958 in Burns, Oregon. He worked for the FAA as a Flight Service Specialist at Washington National DC Airport and also in Masenna, and Rochester, NY. He retired in 1989 and then moved to Wanakena, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Joy Caton, by three sons: Mark and Maria Caton, Mathew and Karen Caton, and Miles and Julie Caton, all residing in Rocehster NY. He is survived by 6 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.He also survived by a brother, Michael and Patti of Plymouth Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his son, Kenneth Caton. He was a member of the St. Huberts Church in Star Lake, NY. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and being an avid outdoorsman. He also worked at the Wild Cliff Lodge in Cranberry Lake, NY and was Director of St. Huberts Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held at the Hawley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Huberts Church.
