At Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas:

Reserve Airman Deaja B. Atwaters, daughter of Sheila Bryant, Killeen, Texas, and Derek Atwaters, Fort Drum. She is a 2012 graduate of Harker Heights High School in Texas.

Airman Patrick M. Fisk, son of Marieaymee and Charlie Fisk, state Route 86, Paul Smiths. Airman Fisk is a 2012 graduate of Saranac Lake Central School.

Honored: Eight candidate for associate degrees in nursing through the weekend scholars nursing program of Jefferson Community College, Watertown, participated in a pinning ceremony. The ceremony marks the transition from a student to the nursing profession, after which, each recites Florence Nightingale’s pledge. Pinned were Galina N. Acord, Fort Drum, Blair S.
