Amy E. Salazar, 23, of 12201 Route 12E, Chaumont, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at Hannaford grocery store, 21110 Pioneer Plaza, on a charge of petit larceny for allegedly stealing $72.82 worth of merchandise.

The store’s loss-prevention coordinator, Charles Brown, said he observed Ms. Salazar place condoms, lubricant, vaginal wipes and vaginal spray into her purse. During continued surveillance, Mr. Brown said, he observed Ms. Salazar place sandwich meat and cheese in her purse before purchasing “many” other items but failing to pay for those she had concealed.

She was issued an appearance ticket answerable in Watertown Town Court.
