To The Editor:
Last week, we were issued a storm warning, predicting a great blizzard and a vast amount of snowfall coming to this region. How many readers took this warning about the storm seriously?
Did you ignore it all together, or did you prepare just in case, it happened? A warning is given as a sign of something bad that is coming, or is going to happen, to advise us to be careful, to be prepared, and to give notice.
The warning of this storm came true it happened. Some of you probably purchased extra food and water, made sure your flashlights worked and so on just in case we lost power.
Not all warnings we get from the weather service, our government, or agencies come true however, Gods are a hundred percent accurate and will happen.
What is my point? The Bible gives us a warning, in fact many warnings that a storm of epic proportions is coming. It will be a time of great tribulation.
A time unlike any other time in recorded history (read the book Revelation). God has already given us many signs and warnings, by using the weather, economy, pestilence, and terrorism to name a few.
These are not by chance or coincidence, but divine judgment upon our land. He is desperately trying to get our attention, but we as a nation love our immorality and sin more than our Creator.
We want to do our own thing, and live our own life on our own terms. If we choose to live this path, then expect His judgment, it is coming upon the whole world, it is inevitable.
The good news is you do not have to be a casualty, a victim, but a victor in Christ Jesus.
The remedy or solution is simple.
1) We must acknowledge our sin before Holy God.
2) Repent of our sin (to repent is to have a change of mind, abandon your sin, prompting a change of heart) repent is mentioned 105 times in the Bible. It is not an option or choice, but a command.
3) Make Him the Lord of your life, meaning you make Him first, number one. (In 14:6 Jesus says I Am The Way The Truth and The Life no one comes to the Father except through Me!)
Have done that readers? My prayer for you today, is to come to a saving faith through Jesus our Savior.
A great storm is coming unexpectedly (like a thief in the night). The time to prepare is today, tomorrow may be too late.
As always, this is written in love and concern for those who do not have a personal, intimate, relationship with my Lord.
