■ The observance of Presidents Day on Monday will not interrupt refuse and recycling pickup in the city of Watertown and the CitiBus schedule.

■ The annual auction of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Jefferson County, held Saturday at the Roswell P. Flower Memorial Library, raised about $22,500 for operating expenses. That was a $2,630 increase from 2012.
