This telephone pole at the intersection of Greene and State streets was cut in two following a motor vehicle accident at about 9:30 a.m. involving Glenda Woods, 65, of Ogdensburg.

Police said Mrs. Woods lost consciousness behind the wheel just before hitting the pole. No injuries or charges were reported. Verizon crews were out Monday afternoon to repair the pole. (Ewart photo)
