St. Lawrence University junior Matt Weninger has been selected as ECAC Hockey’s goalie of the week.

Weninger helped lead the Saints to their third road sweep of the season, including their second in conference play.

After he made 31 saves in St. Lawrence’s 2-1 victory at No. 1-ranked Quinnipiac on Friday, Weninger had 35 stops in the Saints’ 3-2 win at Princeton on Saturday.

Weninger helped the Saints go a perfect 13-for-13 on the penalty kill with 23 saves in the two games.

He stopped 66 of 69 shots and leads ECAC Hockey in saves and shots faced in his last 10 games, compiling a 2.34 goals-against average with a .930 save percentage to help lead St. Lawrence to a 7-1-2 record over its past 10 games.

Weninger was earlier honored as the ECAC’s goalie of the month for October.
