Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center CEO Mark Webster has been renamed to another two-year term to the board of trustees of the Healthcare Association of New York State.
Albany-based HANYS announced the re-appointment as part of its board elections.
Mr. Webster has been Claxton-Hepburns CEO for nine years.
HANYS, according to its website, is the only statewide hospital and continuing care association in New York State, representing 500 non-profit and public hospitals, nursing homes, home care agencies, and other health care organizations.
Claxton-Hepburn board member Thomas T. Patterson applauded Mr. Websters re-appointment to the HANYS board as well as the organizations role as an advocate for hospitals in Albany and Washington, D.C.
I think its recognition of Marks abilities, he said Wednesday. Its important to have that connection. And HANYS fights for us.
Mr. Webster declined comment.
