Fire simulator building thanks

To The Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to the many fire departments, individuals, corporations, and financial institutions who have donated to the fund raising effort to build the new Live Burn Fire Training Simulator at our West Potsdam Training Center. To date we have raised over a third of our fund raising goal of $450,000. These donations have come in the form of cash and pledges. Our largest pledge of $100,000 is coming from Senators Patty Ritchie, Joseph Griffo and Elizabeth Little.

We were able to construct the foundation for the simulator last summer and are currently working on a grant for constructing a one-story live burn room annex. We are keeping an accurate listing of all our contributors, posting them on our web page. We want to take this opportunity to recognize those who have donated. You might see a neighbor, friend or family member who has given in support of their local fire department so they may be better trained to respond to a fire emergency in their home or yours. We have not reached our goal and still need your financial support. We ask that you consider a donation now to get us to our completion.

Our donors, to date, include: Norwood Fire Department, Heuvelton Fire Department, Preston Carlisle & Associates, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Colton Fire District, Hammond Fire Department, New York State Corrections Officers, Norfolk Fire Department Auxillary, Adirondack Pharmacy in Star Lake, Alexander and Nancy Mackinnon, Gouverneur,American Legion Post 74, Potsdam,Anderson Cox, Massena, Annette Merkley, Norwood,Atlantic Testing Inc., Potsdam, Aviva Gold & Steve Dilger, Potsdam, B.P.O.
