Cheryl A. Barlow


WEST CARTHAGE — Cheryl A. Barlow, 60, of 63 Madison Street, died on February 23, 2013 at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown where she had been a patient for a few days.

She has been battling cancer since 2011. She was born on April 13, 1952 in Bedford, Ohio to Dewey and Doris Huni Goodman. She graduated from Carthage High School. Her first marriage to Donald O’Shaughnessy ended in divorce. She later married Thomas H. Barlow in 1999.

She was a caregiver and was employed by Caregivers in Watertown, NY, she worked there until she became ill with cancer.

She is survived by a daughter Carrie Pierce, Carthage; a son Justin O’Shaughnessy, Carthage; a sister, Cindy Hickman, Las Vegas; a sister, Cathy Goynes, South Carolina; a brother, Jeff Goodman, South Carolina; and a sister, Charlene Symonds, Virginia; and a grandson, Jacob Pierce

She is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Thomas who died December 25, 2012, and a grandson Michael Pierce.

She enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home, located at 500 State Street in Carthage. Burial will be held privately by the Family.
