CANTON The Salute Military Golf Association will have an adaptive training program for professionals from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the SLU Indoor Golf Center, 72 E. Main St.
The adaptive program offers PGA professionals skills to teach the game to physically challenged golfers, such as wounded warriors who will participate in rehabilitative golf clinics offered by SMGA.
Because of their proximity to Fort Drum, the SLU and Partridge Run courses will conduct free golf clinics starting in May for wounded warriors stationed at the post.
Malone Golf Club and Brookhaven Golf Club, Porters Corners, are among locations that will offer individual lessons for any soldier wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan.
For more information, contact Frank P. Dorchak Jr., SMGA-NY regional manager, at 518-483-6271 or visit smga-ny.org.
