John E. Caloren, 81, of Ogdensburg, died, February 28, 2013, at his home, Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, entrusted with arrangements. Calling hours will be, Sunday, March 3, 1 -3 PM; the funeral service will be at 3 PM, Pastor Rusty Bissell officiating. John is survived by his wife, Nancy, sons, Paul (companion Roxanne LaForty) Caloren, Potsdam, Thomas Caloren, Ogdensburg, daughters, Tampa (Derrick) Stewart, Johnson City, Judy (Harry) Flagg, Ogdensburg, a sister, Linda (Thomas) Caloren Shannon, Morristown, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Dingman and a brother, Robert Caloren. John was born on December 17, 1931 in Ogdensburg, the son of John and Emma Shields Caloren. He married Nancy F. Jandreau on June 28, 1958 at St. Marys Cathedral, Ogdensburg, Father Degan officiating. He was a laborer for the City of Ogdensburg for 23+ years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of CSEA. He loved his grandchildren, reading books , especially the bible, watching westerns and the 700 Club, Oscars Fish Fry, coffee, and his cigarettes.
