ROCHESTER Sophomore Dylan Bloomfield controlled the faceoffs with 15 wins as the Clarkson mens lacrosse team opened its season with a 13-9 win over host St. John Fisher on Thursday afternoon.
Brendon Shearin led the Golden Knights (1-0) three goals, and Matt McCabe, Corey Herrington and Tim Knauss each added a pair of goals. Ryan Cole stopped nine shots for Clarkson.
Greg Ramsden and Michael Boisvert paced the Cardinals (1-1) with two goals apiece, while Jamie Campagna made 11 saves.
