FORT DRUM The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, awarded an $8.9 million contract to Structural Associates, Syracuse, to create a new Soldier Family Care Clinic on post.
The 22,500-square-foot clinic will take about two years to build, with its completion scheduled for summer 2015.
The building must be certified as LEED Silver by the standards of the U.S. Green Buildings Council.
The news was announced in a press release from the Corps issued Thursday.
This facility will be designed with the patient in mind and provide them much needed outpatient care and clinical and administrative space, said New York District Commander Col. Paul E. Owen, in the release.
