SARATOGA SPRINGS Joe Cremo scored 28 points to lead Section 2s Scotia-Glenville to an 89-46 win over Massena in a NYSPHSAA first-round Class A game at Saratoga High School Wednesday night.
The Tartans (22-0) will face Section 3s Bishop Ludden in a quarterfinal at 8 p.m. Saturday at Onondoga Community College.
Andrew Tabbert scored 15 points and Alex Sausville and Dom LaMorta each tallied 14 for the Tartans.
Scotia-Glenville, which plays in the Foothills Council, built a 23-11 lead after one quarter and led 46-19 at halftime.
LaMorta made four 3-point baskets for Scotia-Glenville.
Massena (12-10) was led by a 12-point effort from Zach Rusaw. Xavier Viskovich added 10 points for the Red Raiders.
CLASS C
LAKE GEORGE 71, ST. LAWRENCE 51
Joel Wincowski scored 37 points to send Section 2s Lake George (21-2) past the Larries in a NYSPHSAA Class C first-round game at Saratoga High School.
The Warriors will meet Section 7 champion AuSable Valley Saturday at a time to be announced at SUNY Plattsburgh in a state quarterfinal.
St. Lawrence Central (10-12) had a 32-31 lead at halftime, but Lake George went on a 20-8 run in the third quarter to take control of the game and outscored the Larries 40-19 in the second half.
Connor McCoy added 19 points for Lake George.
In addition to his 37 points, Wincowski, a sophomore, also had seven assists and five steals for the Warriors.
Zane Ramsdell led St. Lawrence Central with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Josh White added 10 points for the Larries.
