Woman indicted on accusations of filing false bank deposits from Midas

A woman was indicted on accusations that she took more than $3,000 from Midas Auto Service by filing false business records, according to court documents unsealed Friday.

Temple L. Chrzaszcz, 41, address unavailable, is charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, along with 81 counts of first-degree falsifying of business records. The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment handed up Tuesday in Jefferson County Court.

According to court documents, Ms. Chrzaszcz filed false bank deposit slips and inserted false charges in customer bills between May 4, 2010, and Nov. 18, 2011.

In other court proceedings Friday, Tracy L. Cantwell, 24, of 38896 Bartlett Point Road, Clayton, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted criminal sex act. Court documents stated that she aided an attempt to engage an 8-year-old girl in oral sex with Christopher E. Robinson, 33, same address. In July, the two were each charged with first-degree rape and predatory sexual assault upon a child under the age of 11, with Cantwell receiving an additional charge of first-degree criminal sexual act. She is to be sentenced May 10.

Jacob J. Traynor, 20, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested Oct. 30 in the village of Clayton and accused of possessing heroin. He is to be sentenced April 19.

Michael Smith-Baker, 30, pleaded guilty to second-degree promotion of prison contraband. Cape Vincent Correctional Facility officers determined he possessed 30 grams of marijuana. He was sentenced Friday to time served.

George K. Anderson, 26, Watertown, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief in connection with a domestic incident in which he damaged a TV belonging to Amanda F. Vincent, 27, same address. He will be sentenced May 3.
