LYONS FALLS- Tommye Ann MacKenzie, affectionately known as “T.A.”, 81, of 4061 Cherry Street, Lyons Falls, died Thursday evening, March 7, 2013 at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.

Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with a prayer service to be held at 8 p.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Naomi Kelly, Pastor of Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls, officiating. Spring burial will be in Shoops Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lyons Falls Fire Department Ambulance Fund, High Street, Lyons Falls, NY 13368.

She is survived by three children and their families, Anne and Dan Koperda of Forestport and their children, Nicholas, David and James; Kelley and Marshall Nellenback of Chittenango and their children, Melina and Kohl; Robert III and Rebecca MacKenzie of Lyons Falls and their children, Tori and Elaina. She is predeceased by a brother, Alfred White Jr.

Tommye was born on September 14, 1931 in New Orleans, LA, a daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothea O’Kelly White. She graduated from Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg, PA and attended Lebanon Valley College Extension Center. She married Robert A. MacKenzie, Jr. and they moved to Lewis County in 1977. She worked for the Lewis County WIC Program from 1977-1980 and the Lewis County Head Start Program , as a home base visitor, from 1980 until her retirement.

She was a member of the Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls. Tommye enjoyed spending time with her family and working with the children and their families.
