CANTON — Elkie Vandenbeemt was part of a winning doubles match and won her singles match to lead the 15th-ranked St. Lawrence University women’s tennis team to a 6-3 win over No. 19 New Paltz Friday.

Vandenbeemt teamed with Shannon Murphy to defeat Paige Munroe and Devin Tracy 8-1 in doubles. Vandenbeemt then defeated Montana Wilson 6-1, 6-4 in singles for the Saints (2-1).
