RENSSELAER FALLS Two people were injured Monday morning when their horse-drawn buggy was sideswiped on County Route 15 just outside the village.
State police said Jonas Swartzentruber, 38, of 1310 County Route 15, Heuvelton, and his daughter, Anna, 8, both suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the car that struck them, Ray W. Liscum, 65, of 3766 Route 812, Heuvelton, was blinded by sun glare and did not see the buggy in time to avoid it, troopers said.
Mr. Swartzentruber and his daughter were taken by ambulance to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg. The accident happened at about 8 a.m.
Troopers said the horse was not injured. No tickets were issued.
