Women’s history placemat project returning to Eben’s Hearth

POTSDAM - All patrons of Eben’s Hearth Restaurant in Potsdam will have the chance to learn about the contributions of women to history on March 27.

The local restaurant is hosting the fifth-grade placemat history project that students at the AA Kingston Middle School designed and colored as part of Women’s History Month education activities in March.

This project, sponsored by the St. Lawrence County Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the fifth grade at AAK, has been going on in March for many years, with Eben’s Hearth as the community host.

As a special treat, one student from each fifth-grade homeroom will have lunch at Eben’s Hearth with AAUW members and AAK staff. The students will arrive at 11 a.m. March 27, if you would like to meet some of the artist-researchers.

For more information about AAUW in St. Lawrence County, contact President Jennifer Ball at 268- 4208 or or Public Policy Chair Kathleen Stein at 386-3812,, or visit the branch website,
