BANNER SEASON - The Massena Minor Hockey Squirt A Team, coached by Todd Tyo along with assistants Rob Chilton and Brian LaVack, recently finished a banner 2012-13 season which saw them skate to four tournament championships.

They won the Canton Fall Classic, held Nov. 17-18 in Canton and the Brockville Memorial Tournament in Brockville, Ontario, held Dec. 1-2, by beating the South Grenville Atoms 3-2. The team also won a thrilling double-overtime semi-finals game against the Jefferson Jaguars 2-1 to secure their place in the finals. The Massena Squirt A team’s championship win will be the first win engraved on Brockville’s new Ladouceur Cup Trophy, a replica of the Stanley Cup. The Squirt A team also clinched first place in the second Annual Shiver on the River Tournament in Clayton. They also captured first place in the South Grenville Atom Rep B tournament during a hard fought battle with the Kemptville Panthers.
