Three Jefferson Community College baseball players have committed to play collegiate baseball at a four-year institution next spring, the school announced Thursday.
Josh Amann, a 2011 Carthage graduate, will play for Division III St. John Fisher. Amann has a 2-0 record in 12 innings pitched this season. Last year, the right-handed pitcher went 3-5 with 29 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 50 innings pitched.
Outfielders Nathan Mastervick (Beamsville, Ontario) and Louie Diaz (Chicago) both accepted athletic scholarships from Division II Salem International University in West Virginia. Through 11 games this season, Mastervick is hitting at .423 with 11 hits, three triples and six RBIs. Diaz has driven in 10 runs and is hitting .270 this year.
The trio joins classmates Tyler Decker and Nicolas Espino, who previously committed to Adelphi and East Stroudsberg, respectively.
