To The Editor:
My name is Chelsie Jock, and I think you should cover up the tobacco power wall in Heuvelton because children who see it might be more apt to smoke.
Smoking causes cancer and health problems that can kill people. Heuvelton has only one power wall, and I think we should cover it up for the health of citizens.
In 2006, tobacco companies spent $12.5 billion nationally on advertising, promotions and price discounts for wholesalers and retailers. I think its ridiculous how much money the tobacco companies spend trying to advertise their products. Another one: In New York State, the tobacco industry spends about $1.1 million per day just to market its products, way too much money just to put their products in stores.
I personally think the tobacco industry is purposely trying to hurt peoples health.
