Dear Friends: The following article is from the Ogdensburg Ministerial Association. We hope you find it uplifting and informative. Today’s article is “PrayerWalk Ogdensburg.”

By THE REV. DR. DAVID PIATT

First United Methodist Church

The prophet Jeremiah wrote on behalf of God, “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7).

Jesus himself said, “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11.9-10).

There are many more references throughout Holy Scripture that speak of the importance and opportunity of prayer. We cannot examine them all here.

I believe in prayer as a means of grace and a spiritual discipline. I believe in its power to transform lives and circumstances. I believe in God who calls us to prayer. We need to call upon God who will show us amazing things! Such is the promise of prayer. Such is the power of God!

For this reason that I have established the website: www.prayerwalkoburg.weebly.com. I am calling upon you to be in prayer for the city of Ogdensburg, to walk her streets, to seek her prosperity. Join me from Easter until Pentecost (March 20 until May 19) in the walk of a life-time, and see what God will do!
