To The Editor:

We would like to thank David Viola, Ron Patnode, and Lindsey Breitbeck at St. Lawrence Centre Mall for their continuing support for Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity. We appreciate all of the work that went into the March 16th Battle of the Bands fundraiser.

We would also like to thank Massena’s NBT Bank for providing volunteers to help with the 50/50 Raffle on Saturday night. Thank you Amy Page, Irene Monroe, Tammy Villnave, and Andrew Knowles.

This year’s event brought in $2,034. That money will be used to help purchase building materials for our next build on Cottage Street in Norwood.

Congratulations to all of the bands. Vicious Intent was the Winning Band and received first place for the Best Original Song. Into the Black was the Best Overall Band. Paparazzi Scandal received Honorable Mention.

The Battle of the Bands has become a yearly event that is enjoyed by many. It also benefits Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity’s mission to help qualified local families become home owners.

People interested in volunteering to work on builds can get an application by calling 315-244-1335.
