THERESA — A Town Court jury on Tuesday cleared a man of allegations that he shot a gun too close to a house.

Following about seven hours of jury selection and testimony, jurors deliberated about 45 minutes before ruling that Mark L. Osmundson, 56, of 29881 County Route 20, was not guilty of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and having a loaded firearm in a vehicle.

The charges stemmed from a July 13 incident on County Route 20.

Mr. Osmundson was defended by Watertown attorney Eric T. Swartz.
