MORRISTOWN — A Morristown man was jailed without bail after he broke into a Route 37 convenience store late Sunday, state police at Ogdensburg said.

Danny J. Mashaw, 49, was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, as well as possession of burglary tools, a class A misdemeanor.

Troopers said Mr. Mashaw entered the Parkway Express store Sunday night and made off with cigarettes and a change box. The cash value of those items was not available Monday.

Mr. Mashaw was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Monday, at which time troopers said they found him in possession of a knife, gloves and a flashlight.

Mr. Mashaw was arraigned before Morristown Town Justice James T. Phillips Jr. and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, without bail, to await further proceedings.
