Getting political at SLU

The non-partisan documentary “Fear of a Black Republican” will be screened for students and community members at 7 p.m. today at St. Lawrence University, Canton.

Filmed and edited over a six-year period, the film by Shamrock Stine Productions examines why there are so few black Republicans (and by extension, other minorities) and how this affects the country’s political system.

The movie, in the Student Center’s Winston Room, will be followed by a student-led discussion.
