POTSDAM — Waddington Town Supervisor and Artworks Creperie founder Mark Scott will be honored April 19 with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Clarkson University’s Reh Center for Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Scott will receive the award at the Reh Center’s third annual Entrepreneur Recognition Dinner April 19 at the university’s Cheel Campus Center. The event starts at 5 p.m.

The award recognizes “a practicing entrepreneur who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to building their small business and supporting their community,” according to a news release from Clarkson.

Also to be honored is Reh Center founding director Mark Compeau, an instructor at Clarkson’s School of Business, and Jeff Taylor, Clarkson’s Career Center director. Mr. Compeau will receive the Entrepreneur’s Hero Award, given to those who help make local entrepreneurs’ endeavors viable.

Mr. Taylor will receive the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award for his efforts to increase employer recruiting on campus and through a regional employer fair.

Clarkson alumnus Randy Roth, CEO of ViTEX, Mooresville, N.C., will be inducted into the Clarkson Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. To reserve a spot at the dinner, call the Reh Center at 268-3995 or 286-4650.
