CLAYTON — Hunter P. Schafer, 18, of 687 Riverside Drive, was charged by state police on Monday afternoon with fourth-degree stalking, first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment.

Mr. Schafer is accused of texting a female Thousand Islands Central School student 17 times and violating an order of protection.

He was released from the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, after posting $1,500 bail.

On April 9, he was charged with second-degree imprisonment after a physical argument with an unidentified person.
