Jordan J. Savage, 22, of 27892 Three Mile Point Road, town of Lyme, was charged Tuesday morning by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a Class E felony.
Mr. Savage is accused of taking a Browning .22-250 Remington center-fire rifle belonging to his father, Carl Savage Jr., sometime between the end of December and Jan. 8.
The younger Mr. Savage already was being held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on an unrelated charge. He was arraigned in Watertown Town Court and returned to jail on $100 bail. He is to reappear in Watertown Town Court.
