To The Editor:
The Ecumenical Lenten Luncheon Committee in Massena would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this years Lenten Luncheons.
They would especially like to thank the Greater Massena Ministerial Association for sponsoring the series of Lenten Services, and St. Johns Church for the use of their kitchen and parish hall. Thanks go to the ladies of Massenas Catholic Churches, Emmanuel Congregational Church, First United Methodist Church, Grace Methodist Church, and St. Johns Episcopal Church for preparing the food and working at the luncheons.
Thanks also to the Highland Nursing Home and the St. Regis Nursing Home for donating freshly baked pies each week. And most importantly, they would like to thank the people of Massena for attending the Lenten Services and supporting the luncheons.
Because of community support, a total of $968.98 was collected and divided equally among Massenas three food ministries. $323 went to each of the following: St. Vincent de Paul, Massena Neighborhood Center, and First United Methodist Community Meal program.
