The man who was stabbed, Michael Wells, 37, resides at 1130 Ford St., but was not at home when police arrived, 20 minutes after the incident occurred. Police said they located him at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was being treated for two stab wounds: one in the center of his chest and the other on the left side of his abdomen. He was treated at the hospital and released.
Police said they were later able to locate Mr. Holt, who initially fled from them on foot, in the upstairs bedroom of a Mill Street home.
