A nationwide problem with American Airlines computer systems has affected the Watertown International Airport, according to Airport Manager James L. Lawrence, Jr.
The regularly scheduled afternoon flight, which arrived at approximately 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, will remain grounded until Wednesday morning, when it is scheduled to depart at 7:05 a.m.
A flight scheduled to arrive at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday from Chicago will not be coming to the airport.
Mr. Lawrence said he was informed by the airport that passengers with flexible travel plans can change their reservations with no charge.
Full refunds are available to passengers with travel plans that are not flexible.
Passengers can call 817-967-1577 or 817-931-1348 with questions.
