HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police charged Christopher L. Deshane, 36, of 614 Sissonville Road, Potsdam, with second-degree harassment following an investigation into an incident that took place March 6 at 140 Liberty Ave. He reportedly struck his girlfriend’s 18-year-old daughter, Brittany Courter, in the back of the head during an argument. The teenager told police her mother and her mother’s boyfriend had been drinking at the time of the incident.

ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged Tangeane Stephenson, 22, of 90 East Hatfield St., Massena, with third-degree assault Monday following an altercation shortly after 3 a.m. that morning at the Quality Inn. Stephenson and a female described as her friend in court documents, Amanda Rochefort, 23, of Massena, went to the Quality Inn from Nadeau’s, and an argument reportedly broke out over a gentleman. Stephenson allegedly pulled out Rochefort’s hair extensions, dug her arm and face and bit her on the left side of her torso.

OPEN CONTAINER - MASSENA - Village police charged Timothy M. Gardner Jr., 45, of 1859 state Route 420, Massena, with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway at 1:55 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Ober Street.

UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nico A. Cook, 22, of 2286 state Route 420, Massena, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving a motor vehicle running and unattended at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday following an incident on Haskell Street.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Keith H. Bjork, 47, of 190 Center St., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with inadequate plate lights at 2:07 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nha Van Dixon, 42, of Winter Street, Massena, for a stop sign violation at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Main Street.
