Take It Back

To The Editor:

Wow, what has happened to our once safe town? Its come to the point here in Massena, that you can’t even walk the streets around here without fear of something happening to you. It’s getting ridiculous.

We, as citizens of this once safe town, need to take it back from these scum that have set up shop here, and that are dealing and pushing drugs. Also, some of those landlords in this town that rent to some of these people need to be doing background checks. All they care about is getting that check from welfare, with no regard to who they rent to or what kind of people they are.

Then we have a judge that continuously lets these drug dealers and pushers out on bail, some of whom have extensive arrest records, the judge gives them a slap on the wrist, and sets them free after they post bail, which most likely is paid with drug money, only to get arrested days later.

Come on now, I think its time we make some changes in our judge and district attorney, I, for one, am ready for change for the better.

I’m sure that our local police department is getting tired of all this and frustrated with our court system, constantly letting these people back on the streets. Let’s speak up Massena, and get these unwanted people out of our town.

Another issue in this county is our great welfare system that makes it too easy for these people to get it; some of whom have been living off the system, generation, after generation, and expect all of us hard working people to pay for it, and I for one am sick of better themselves.

Why isn’t there workfare for welfare? Make them work for the assistance, such as cleaning up the streets, highways, etc. Instead, they are allowed to sit on their butts and collect a paycheck. And then your getting all these people getting pregnant when they can’t afford it, and the county rewards them by giving them even more money. It makes absolutely no sense.

Let’s take back our town; don’t let them win.
