To The Editor:

Now that we know that the village of Massena is doing spring clean up let’s end this guessing game once and for all.

Instead of taking the high handed voters be damned approach of the town, let’s put it to a vote. The next village elections let’s have a ballot that asks,”Do you want the village of Massena to continue with spring clean up,yes or no.”

Then let’s abide by the decision and leave the matter be. It may come as a surprise to our local pols, but most voters in the village are able to due basic math and can figure out whether they want to continue this service. Something that has been provided as a service for decades should not be subject to the whims of those on the board.

Put it in the hands of the voters and let them decide. It’ll cost very little if we do it at election time. Until then continue having it.
