CANTON — A Waddington man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile was one of three people indicted in separate cases Thursday by a St. Lawrence County grand jury.

Patrick R. Wright, 30, of 158 Tiernan Road, stands accused of first-degree rape, third-degree rape, three counts of first-degree criminal sexual act, three counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

According to investigators, Wright provided a 15-year-old with four vodka-based drinks on Feb. 2, then engaged in multiple sex acts with the teen by forcible compulsion.

In other cases:

Mitchell L. Butram, 38, of 1150 Green Road, Colton, was indicted on a count of third-degree burglary.

Investigators said Mr. Butram smashed a window and entered the elementary wing of Norwood-Norfolk Central School at 7852 Route 56 in July 2009, causing more than $250 in damage.

He then helped himself to a 27-inch Sansui television and a Sony DVD/VCR player, according to court documents.

The value of those items was not indicated.

He was extradited to New York in February to face the charges after completing a prison sentence for a stolen-property conviction in Ohio.

Robert L. McGuinness, 32, of 10 Browns Falls Road, Oswegatchie, was indicted on two counts of second degree burglary.

He stands accused in connection with the alleged burglary of several items in the Clifton area last summer.
