Funeral Services for Randy J. Tynon, age 51, of 413 Anthony Street, will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00am at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Frary Funeral Home. Burial will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery following the funeral services. Mr. Tynon passed away at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Randy is survived by his wife, Tammy; his daughter, Heather and her husband, Matt Poquette, from St. Albans, Vermont; two sons, Matt and Randy “Joey” Tynon, both of Ogdensburg; a brother, Steven, and his wife Patricia of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Kerri Bjork and Sherri Tynon, all of Ogdensburg, Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary Ellen Denocourt, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Susan Tynon, his grandmother, Mary Gaffney and a nephew, Dylan Bjork.

Mr. Tynon was born on March 24, 1962 in Ogdensburg the son of Susan Gaffney Tynon. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1980. Randy was employed at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for 30 years where he retired as a secretary’s clerk. Randy married Tammy Bodwell at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Kevin O’Brien officiating in 1983.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and guns.

Donations can be made in his memory to the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA and Richard E. Winter Cancer Treatment Center.
