PORT LEYDEN The town of Lyonsdale once again has a supervisor.
The Town Council on Friday appointed Philip A. Boardman Sr. to the post through the end of the year, according to Town Clerk Louise A. Gozalkowski.
He was one of a few applicants for the open position.
The job will still be up for election in November, so Mr. Boardman will need to successfully run for election to keep it next year.
The post has been vacant since early March, when second-year Supervisor Marylou Hawk stepped down, citing time constraints.
The Town Council also recently appointed John Smith to fill another vacancy on the five-member board.
