NORWOOD - The Town and Tavern Modifed Fastpitch Softball League will kick off the 2013 season on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sports Avenue Field in Norwood. The season will begin with an all-star game which will include all-stars from teams throughout the league and the four playoff MVPs.

League Preisdent Terry Paige would like to congratulate the 2012 All-Stars and the four MVPs and is hopeful to see a good crowd at Saturday’s all-star game.

The all-star lineups will be composed of the folliwing players: Adam Stone and Ben Reagan of the Potsdam Moose Lodge, Justin Caringi and Matt Richards of Silver and Collins of Parishville, Chad Rush and Chris Olson of the Louisville Mini Mart; Chris Bartrum and Eric Brabant of the Akwesasne Casino; Jarred Shope and Dustin Currier of Nez’s of Helena; Brian Dabien and Wayne Palmer of Mad Joe’s of Moria; Sean Barnes and Ryan Gray of the Laughling Crow of Fort Covington; Fred Kellison and Cory Hamlin of the Riverview of Brasher Falls; Joe Arney, Mike Gollinger and Austin Rush of the Pit Stop of Winthrop and representing last year’s league champions The Gandy of Norwood will be Randy Gravlin, Ryan Prairie and Bob “Bear” Doran.

Rounding out the rosters will be last year’s playoff MVPs Justin “JD” Dowdle and Justin Smith of The Gandy and Joe Arney and Heath McLean of the Pit Stop.

Coaches for the game will be Mike “Kong” Schwartzfigure of The Gandy and Nick Hammick of The Pit Stop.
