To The Editor:
Dear Massena Taxpayer:
My name is Erica Clark, and Im in the Delta School of Choice, formally known as Alternative Education. Ive been here since sixth grade and Im now in ninth grade.
This school brought me so far. Im thankful for this school. Its not for bad or disabled kids; its for those who need one on one help with teachers and for kids that get distracted, because here there are less kids in a class. I think they should keep this school because kids need it.
I have seen a lot of kids improve over the years Ive been here. Were all going to fight till the end no matter if we win or we lose. Everyone thinks were all bad kids because were here but this school is to help children. I know Im going to struggle with big classes and a lot of people I dont know.
Were not only a school but we are a family too. When we heard it was closing we all cried and were upset. We have worked hard to get to where we are so I hope no one gives up on us. It makes us all feel upset when we hear there was a board meeting and our school is getting closed.
I hope we can save our school because if not a lot of the kids will struggle and become high school drop outs because of bullying and not getting the help they need. They will fail because of being distracted by having classes with 30 or 40 kids in it. I hope you can save our school for us because we need it.
