Delta School

To The Editor:

Dear Massena Taxpayer:

My name is Erica Clark, and I’m in the Delta School of Choice, formally known as Alternative Education. I’ve been here since sixth grade and I’m now in ninth grade.

This school brought me so far. I’m thankful for this school. It’s not for bad or disabled kids; it’s for those who need one on one help with teachers and for kids that get distracted, because here there are less kids in a class. I think they should keep this school because kids need it.

I have seen a lot of kids improve over the years I’ve been here. We’re all going to fight till the end no matter if we win or we lose. Everyone thinks we’re all bad kids because we’re here but this school is to help children. I know I’m going to struggle with big classes and a lot of people I don’t know.

We’re not only a school but we are a family too. When we heard it was closing we all cried and were upset. We have worked hard to get to where we are so I hope no one gives up on us. It makes us all feel upset when we hear there was a board meeting and our school is getting closed.

I hope we can save our school because if not a lot of the kids will struggle and become high school drop outs because of bullying and not getting the help they need. They will fail because of being distracted by having classes with 30 or 40 kids in it. I hope you can save our school for us because we need it.

Erica Clark
